On Monday, September 2, we had the honor to host the “Energy Scouts” candidates in the facilities of our industry within the framework of the “Young Energy Europe” project.
This action is carried out under the auspices of the Hellenic-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry in collaboration with the KEK “Technical Schools of Heraklion” and is part of the European Climate Initiative. The aim is to train candidates to identify the methods required for the company employed to operate energy-saving green development and environmental protection.
The “Energy Scouts” candidates had the opportunity to be informed about the ways used by AKEK SA. during the production process in order to save energy and optimize the production of its products.

At the invitation of the Region of Crete, AKEK participated in the extremely successful meeting held on April 15 in the hall of the Regional Council of Crete on the topic: “SHERPA- Shared knowledge for Energy Renovation in Buildings by Public Administrations / Exchange of experiences for the energy upgrade of buildings by Public Authorities”, of the European Cooperation Program of the Mediterranean countries INTERREG Mediterranean 2014-2020.
In the following pictures we can distinguish snapshots from such an action where we talked about the ways of correct cutting of bricks, the appropriate method for hanging a large load on bricks with the use of special anchors, solutions for faster placement of mortar, etc.

2018 March
The department “Decoration and Object Design Technicians” of the 1st Public Vocational School of Heraklion in the context of the activities of the course “Internship” and under the guidance of Mrs. Ariadnis Kendristaki, visited the facilities of our Industry on Wednesday 21/03/2018. A tour of the factory premises was held where the students were informed in detail about the various stages required for the production of a quality brick.
